Fibroblast Behavior: Genetically Scarred

Sixth grade Middle School student, Erika Birk has been recognized for her research investigation on Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.  Erika won 1st Place in the Junior Medicine & Health Division and represented Hillsborough County at the State Science and Engineering Fair in Florida on April, 2009.  She placed 3rd in her division at the State Competition. Congratulations, Erika!

Erika is a student in the classroom of board member Peggy Snuggs. Erika did not realize that her teacher’s daughter has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome until after she completed her research.
